These terms govern your use of NvisionData. We've kept them as plain as we can — short paragraphs, no surprise clauses. If you don't want to agree to a clause, don't sign up; if you've already signed up and want out, see Cancellation and refunds.
When you create a NvisionData account or use the service in any other way, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you're acting on behalf of a company, “you” means that company and you confirm you're authorized to bind it.
Customers who process personal data of EU/EEA/UK residents through NvisionData also enter into a Data Processing Agreement — see /legal/dpa.
NvisionData is operated by Nvision Data Solutions SRL, a company registered in Romania, registration ID nvision-data-solutions-srl-zy. We run the service from EU infrastructure by default; see the sub-processor list for the current vendor map.
You need an account to use NvisionData. Authentication is OAuth (Google) or passwordless email magic links — we do not store passwords. You're responsible for keeping control of the email address tied to your account. If that changes, update it in /settings.
You can invite teammates, assign roles, and remove access at any time. Whoever has the owner role on a workspace is responsible for billing and for setting policy on what is collected.
You agree not to use NvisionData to:
If you self-host the open-licensed (FSL) edition of NvisionData, the FSL terms in the repository's LICENSE file apply alongside these terms — they are not replaced.
You own the data you send into NvisionData. We hold a limited licence to host, process, transmit, and back it up so we can run the service for you, and that licence ends when you delete the data or close your account.
You can export your data through the console at any time, and you can delete a property, a workspace, or your whole account at any time. Closed accounts have their event data purged within 30 days of closure (backups within 60). Account and billing records may be retained longer where tax or accounting law requires it.
For how we handle data on your behalf as a processor, see the DPA.
We aim for high availability but we don't commit to a specific uptime number on our standard plans. Live status is at /status. Enterprise self-host customers can negotiate an SLA in their order form.
We may change features, ship new ones, and retire ones that are unused. For changes that break a documented behaviour we'll give at least 30 days' notice through /changelog and email.
Beta features are flagged as such in the console. They can change or disappear at short notice and don't carry the same guarantees as generally available features.
The current price list lives at /pricing. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Event-volume overage is metered hourly and billed at the end of the cycle. Taxes (VAT, sales tax, etc.) are added where required by your jurisdiction.
We may change prices. If we do, we'll give existing paying customers at least 30 days' notice by email and at /changelog before the new price takes effect on your account. If you don't want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before it kicks in and your last cycle is honoured at the old rate.
Failed payments are retried for up to 14 days. If we still can't collect, the account is moved to read-only and event ingestion drops to the free-tier rate limit until billing is fixed.
You can cancel a paid subscription from /settings/billing (self-serve cancellation is being rolled out in Phase 2.5 — until then email billing@nvisiondata.com and we'll cancel within one business day). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle; no further charges are taken.
Refunds are not automatic, but if something we did caused you to overpay or to lose access to a feature you paid for, write to billing@nvisiondata.com and we'll work it out — we don't want to keep money you shouldn't have paid.
We can suspend or terminate an account that materially breaches these terms — most often for the kinds of behaviour listed under Acceptable use, or for non-payment after the grace period.
Where the breach is something you can fix, we'll tell you what it is and give you a reasonable window to fix it before suspending. Where it's urgent — active abuse, a security incident in your account, a legal order — we may suspend first and explain immediately afterwards.
We provide NvisionData “as is”. To the maximum extent the law allows, we do not give any other warranties — implied or otherwise — about merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of analytics outputs, or non-infringement. Statutory consumer rights, where they apply, are not affected by this clause.
Our total liability to you under these terms in any 12-month period is capped at the subscription fees you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. For free-tier accounts, the cap is EUR 100.
Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, lost opportunities, loss of goodwill, loss of data beyond what is required by law — even if the other party knew such losses were possible. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that the law does not allow us to limit.
You agree to defend us against — and to bear the cost of — third-party claims arising from data you put into NvisionData, your breach of the acceptable-use rules, or your violation of someone else's rights. We'll defend ourselves against any claim that the NvisionData service itself infringes a third party's intellectual property; if a court finds it does, we'll modify the service, get a licence, or refund the unused portion of your subscription.
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes that we can't resolve by good-faith discussion go to the competent courts of Bucharest, Romania, except where your local law gives you a non-waivable right to litigate at home.
If you're a consumer in the EU, you can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
We update the “Last updated” date at the top when we change anything. For material changes we'll email customers and post a note at /changelog at least 30 days before the change applies. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, you've accepted the new version. If you don't want to, cancel before the effective date.
